Documentation is a celebration. A celebration of the successes of the growth, the mistakes and there is a lot to celebrate when it comes to Passion Projects!
With fully blown Passion Projects at the moment, we have had to hit the pause button and remind them of how far they have come and why it is essential to celebrate and remember these milestones.
If the focus is on processes over product, they must learn to make stops every now and again to pause and note where they are. When you think about it, documentation in itself is reflection.
Depending on which inquiry they are doing, documentation will look different for each person, and the mode of the documentation might change when they hit an additional milestone.
First, we defined what documentation was, its purpose, and How we might want to document it. By the end, everyone had a documentation mode and was confident to jump in and get started.
